Aspen Snowmass – Day 2

I love skiing at Aspen Snowmass! Not a cloud in the sky and numerous green & blue groomed runs equaled heaven to me! Yeehaw!!

The base village at Snowmass has many shops and condos. To my surprise there is no base day lodge at Snowmass like there is at Buttermilk (and most every other ski area I’ve been to).

No big deal. I found a nice coffee shop nearby (JUS Snowmass) and got a delicious, iced vanilla latte to drink while getting ready. Also, FYI for skiers visiting Snowmass for the first time, the only free parking is 1.2 miles from the Snowmass base area, requiring a bus ride. If you want to park at the base area, be prepared to pay $8 per hour to park in an underground parking facility ($56 max). Or you can always stay at one of the condos at the Snowmass base, that would be fun!
